Benefits of Contrast Therapy

  • Improved Circulation

The alternating vasodilation (from heat) and vasoconstriction (from cold) improve blood flow. This enhanced circulation helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues and aids in the removal of waste products, such as lactic acid.

  • Reduced Muscle Soreness

By alternating temperatures, contrast therapy can help reduce muscle soreness, stiffness, and inflammation, making it popular among athletes for post-exercise recovery.

  • Enhanced Recovery

The combination of heat and cold helps in accelerating recovery from injuries, such as sprains or strains. It can also be beneficial after surgery to manage swelling and pain.

  • Pain Relief

The numbing effect of cold combined with the soothing effect of heat can help alleviate both acute and chronic pain, such as joint pain or discomfort from arthritis.

  • Enhanced Mood and Mental Clarity

The invigorating effect of cold immersion can boost alertness and mental clarity, providing a mental “reset” that can help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety.

  • Stress Reduction and Relaxation

The heat component of contrast therapy can relax muscles and promote a sense of calm, while the cold component can invigorate and refresh, leading to a balanced feeling of relaxation and rejuvenation.

  • Injury Prevention

By promoting flexibility, reducing stiffness, and improving circulation, contrast therapy can help in preventing injuries, especially for those involved in regular physical activity.

  • Improved Sleep

The relaxation and stress-reducing effects of infrared saunas can help improve sleep quality, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep.

INFRARED SAUNA SUITE

Relax, detox, and soothe sore muscles while improving skin health, increasing circulation, and giving your metabolism a boost. Heat causes blood vessels to dilate, increasing blood flow, relaxing muscles, and reducing stiffness. We recommend anywhere from 30-40 minutes in the sauna.

ICE BATHS

Where mental and physical fortitude meet, breathwork is paired with a guided plunge into 39F degree water to stress-test your system and build resiliency.

This process leads to increased dopamine levels which can positively impact mood, motivation, focus, and pleasure. Repeated cold exposure may enhance the brain’s dopamine response, unlocking even greater benefits over time.
